Angel is the spin off series from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, created by Joss Whedon. It follows the 'adventures' of popular Buffy character 'Angel', as he starts a new life in LA. He is joined out in LA by Cordelia, who is in search of stardom. A new character is introduced, Doyle, who is half demon and is 'sent' to help Angel. There is also a new 'love' interest, a Detective called Kate, who is a recurring character. And later in the series 'Ex-Watcher' come 'Rogue Demon Hunter' Wesley Wyndam-Pryce is to turn up in LA, complete with.... well that would spoil the surprise.....!

The new team will fight evil in the big city (not necessarily the demon kind), with Angel trying to make up for his past. The show is darker and more adult than Buffy.

My verdict on season one, and some spoilers.
