Lockley is a tough LA cop. She meets Angel whilst
investigating a case, they are on the trail of
the same killer. At first Kate doesn't know that
Angel is a vampire, and is attracted to him. When
she eventually finds out, she doesn't handle the
revelation very well. Her mother died when she
was young, and her father shut down emotionally
as a result, leaving Kate feeling unloved. Her
father is eventually killed by vampires, which
furthers her anger towards Angel. Is she friend
or foe...?
