Mr Denisof is an American, with Russian grandparents on his fathers side, and his mothers family are Main Line Philadelphia. He came to Europe after leaving High School and ended up at LAMDA, and also eventually joined the Royal Shakespeare Company. He returned to America for a holiday, and ended up working, and then got the role on Buffy...

Buffy Season 3

Wesley is a 'know it all' snobby English Watcher, who actually doesn't know everything. He is sent to Sunnydale to replace Giles, and is given a cold reception by all, except Cordelia. He boasts about slaying a couple of vampires in 'controlled circumstances' but proves somewhat ineffective in a 'real life' situation. Wesley does gradually wise up a little (but only a little), as well as fall for Cordelia. Things go from bad to worse for Wesley as Faith spirals out of control and Buffy quits the Council of Watchers.

Angel Season 1

After being sacked by the Council of Watchers, Wesley decides to become a 'Rogue Demon Hunter', and tracks demons across America. He turns up in LA complete with leather jacket and motorbike. After helping Angel with a few cases he becomes an employee of Angel Investigations, thus helping Angel to fight the 'villains' of the big city. Working for Angel, (and getting tortured by Faith) Wesley is able to improve on his fighting skills, aswell as mature as a person.
