The Pack
While on a field trip to
the local zoo, some of the schools bullies start
annoying a fellow student. Xander tries to
intervene with unexpected results. They had gone
into a hyena pen, which was off bounds because of
quarentine. The bullies and Xander start to act
more and more arrogant and aggressive. Xander is
nasty to Willow and Buffy, and starts to hang
with the 'pack' of bullies.
When the schools mascot, a
little pig, is eaten, the gang start to get
worried. They try to seperate Xander from the
others. While Buffy and Xander are fighting, the
other members of the 'pack' attack the principle
in his office. Eventually Xander is knocked
unconsious by Buffy and locked in the Library.
Willow is left to guard him, while the others
investigate further. The 'pack' come for Xander
and Willow has to make a run for it, just when
she thinks she's eluded them Xander sneeks up on
her. With a little help from Buffy she manages to
escape.
They set up a trap for the
'pack' at the zoo. It seems they were possessed
with a hyena spirit, and the zoo keeper was eager
to undo the damage. With Willow on route to the
zoo to let them know they will soon be on their
way, Buffy tracks down the pack and baits them to
follow her. When Willow gets to the zoo there is
no sign of Giles, just the zoo keeper. When the
'pack' arrive the events take a twist, with the
zoo keeper grabbing Willow and putting a knife to
her neck. The possession leaves the 'pack' and
enters the zoo keeper. With Xander released he
suddenly realises Willow is in danger and tries
to rescue her. With the keeper distracted Buffy
steps in and accidently throws him into the hyena
den. The hyena's attack. Giles emerges from
behind some bording with a headache, having been
knocked unconsious by the keeper.
