A8 I Robot, you Jane

Whilst scanning some old books onto the computer system, Willow accidently scans in a book containing a demon. Both Giles and the computer teacher, Miss Calander, are unaware, as they are 'debating' the merits of computers. Giles hates them.

Willow strikes up a relationship on-line with someone calling themselves Malcolm. Buffy is her usual dubious, suspicious self and remains unconvinced as to his trustworthyness. As the relationship 'blossoms' some of the other students start to act a bit odd, attacking Buffy, with one of them eventually appearing to commit suicide. With more weird things happening with the computers Willow is distracted from her talks with Malcolm. This seems to upset him and Willow starts to become unsure of him.

Whilst following one of the odd acting students, the gang discover that an old computer factory, that should be deserted, is back up and running. But why?

Malcolm keeps trying to contact Willow. Every time she switches her computer off, it comes back on again, saying 'you have mail'. Willow goes missing.

Giles, with the help of Miss Calander, researches into the computers and the demon scanned into them. His name is Moloch. Miss Calender contacts some of her 'techno pagan net friends' and forms and internet circle. As Giles resites the curse which should bind him back into the book, Miss Calender types it into the computer.

Buffy and Xander break into the factory to try and find Willow. They eventually find her and manage to rescue her when the curse starts to weaken Moloch. He proves too strong for them and breaks free of the computers, to exist only in a robot body that had been built for him. Losing the fight against Moloch, Buffy manages to get him to hit his arm straight into a high voltage electrical power point. He overloads......
