B2 Some Assembly Required

(episode written by Ty King, directed by Bruce Seth Green)

It's the Science fair at Sunnydale High School, but what will everyone be doing? One of the students annoyingly takes photo's of some of the girls, including Buffy, Willow and Cordelia......

During a patrol, Buffy encounters Angel and they exchange words. As Angel walks away Buffy goes after him, then disappears, into an open grave....Angel comes back to check on her, and a new case for the Scooby gang is unveiled.

It seems that three girls have been removed from their graves, but why?.....After chearleading practice Cordelia becomes aware that she is being watched as she walks to her car. She hurrudly gets out the keys, drops them under the car, then decides to run for it and hide in the trash bins. The lid opens.....it's Angel, looking for Buffy, Cordelia is relieved and asks for help getting out of the bin, but something is caught.....she pulls it away and lifts it up....it's a body part, she screams. When the others get back to the library, after checking the other two graves, they find a very shaken Cordelia, clinging to Angel, in the Library. They enlighten the gang to their find and Cordelia aquires Angel to escort her safely home.

The following day....

The budding romance between Giles and Miss Calender takes a move forward when Giles, unsuccessfully tries to ask her out, all he can do is mumble. Miss Calender seems to get the message though and suggests they go and watch the football game together. Giles readily agrees...

They know that three dead girls are missing, and expect to find body parts missing that would assemble another girl, but all three heads are their. Willow points out the limitations on how long someone can be dead before the brain tissue starts to breakdown and become un-reviveable. They come to the conclusion that whoever is responsible is going to have to kill someone to complete whatever they are creating. They narrow it down to a few students who might have the knowledge to pull of something like that and Buffy goes to check on them. One of them is not in, but his mother lets Buffy in the house and resumes watching the TV. A no entry notice on the basement door gets Buffy's attention, so she goes down their to explore, and finds exactly what she is looking for, details of how to make a person, and photo's, one of which was Cordelia, but her head had been cut out......Realising Cordelia is in danger Buffy goes to the High school to warn her, but Cordelia won't listen, and goes out to the game with the other chearleaders. Buffy encounters one of the culprits, but he runs off. During a brief refreshments break Cordelia goes missing.

Buffy finds the other culprit and talks some sense into him, and he shows her where they are finishing the project. It turns out that his brother was killed in a car accident, but he stole the body and managed to bring him back, though he was badly scared. Their project was to provide him with a female companion. Buffy and the gang go to the warehouse where they are preparing to remove Cordelia's head. During the fight with the brother a fire starts, and Buffy tells Xander to get Cordelia out of there. He can't get the ties undone so he sets the trolley rolling and jumps on, to take them both through the fire to safety. When the brother realises the fire might destroy what had already been created he rushes to the near finished body and refuses to leave. Buffy leaves the warehouse.......

Angel sees the fire and comes to investigate. He talks to Buffy. Giles and Miss Calender are talking. Xander comments to Willow how everyone else seems to be pairing off, accept them, and wonders if their is anyone out their for them. Cordelia comes over to thank Xander for rescuing her, but he rebuffs her for interupting his conversation with Willow. Cordy goes away....
