B5 Reptile Boy
(episode written by, and
directed by David Greenwalt)
A girl jumps out of a
window and starts to run... a number of cloaked
'persons' emerge and run after her. She jumps
over a wall into the graveyard, but her path is
blocked up ahead. In the struggle with her
'kidnappers' her bracelet falls off.
Buffy is starting to feel
a little lonely, especially as Angel is keeping a
certain distance between them. She encounters him
in the graveyard. As they exchange words he gets
distracted and finds abracelet in the grass, he'd
smelled the blood..
In frustration Buffy
accepts an invite to a college fraternity party,
as Cordelia's guest. The rest of the gang
investigate the bracelet.
Buffy tells Giles she
needs to spend some quality time with her mother,
so he agrees. She tells her mother she has to
study at the library, so she agrees....
fortunately for Buffy she lets Willow in on the
deception. And Xander finds out too. He goes to
the fraternity house to 'spy' on Buffy and try to
protect her, with hilarious, and humiliating
results for Xander when he is found out as a gate
crasher.
Buffy and Cordelia end up
chained in the basement of the fraterinty house,
along with the missing girl, about to be made
sacrifice to a demon. The gang back at the
library finally piece it all together, but at
first are unaware of the threat to Buffy. Giles
goes to phone her at home, but Willow stops him
and reluctantly tells him where she is. She
lectures Giles on being too strict with Buffy,
and Angel for being too distant. They head to the
fraternity house and stumble on a cloaked Xander.
Using his disguise they manage to get into the
house, and help save the day. Buffy was already
in battle with the demon, having managed to break
the shackles off the wall. When freed, Cordelia
imediately goes over to Angel, declaring him her
saviour...
When the rest have all
gone upstairs, Buffy expects to get the 'lecture'
from Giles, but all he says is "now let that
be a lesson to you seems a tad redundant"
