Episode : B7 - Lie to me

Billy 'Ford' Fordham is an old friend of Buffy's from Hemery High in LA. He arrives in Sunnydale to, apparently, complete his education. Both Xander and Angel dislike him from the off, but Willow just thinks they're jealous because Buffy's so into him.

Angel persuades Willow to check Fords background, and she discovers that he isn't registered to attend Sunnydale High, and that he's had a lot of time off sick lately. Before telling Buffy they decide to try and find out a little bit more and follow him to an old basement room that is being converted into a shrine to Vampires.

It turns out that Ford has a brain tumor and has gathered a small following of people that want eternal life as Vampires. He offers Spike Buffy in exchange for giving them eternal life, and Spike agrees. The set up doesn't quite go according to plan, as Buffy manages to capture Drusilla and forces Spike to let everyone go in exchange for releasing her, Spike agrees. Ford has been knocked unconsious and he is the only one that doesn't escape. The room is designed so that the door can only be opened from the outside. Ford is trapped with Spike and company.

Ford gets his wish of becoming a Vampire, but Buffy dusts him as he rises from his grave...
